Welcome to the The 'Pereskia Pages'. My interest in this cactus genre go back to more than fifteen years. But it is only in the last five years that I have begun to grow them seriously. Even now, most of my plants are still grown in pots, because that is the only way for them to survive in this temperate climate. The alternative is to create a huge greenhouse, and put them in the ground, and I cannot afford that at the moment.

I will be adding information, and photos about the pereskia family, from time to time. But I will also welcome contributions, and comments, from anyone who is interested. The aim is to increase the apppeal of these plants to the general public, way above the botanical garden level, which they presently occupy.
