Pereskia Weberiana

Pereskia weberiana is, in my experience, the easiest of the pereskias to produce flowers. My first weberianas were produced from seeds, and while still between 15 and 20 cm tall, they rewarded me with some early flowers. The flowers seem to gravitate between white and pink for whatever reason. I was unable to predict the colour choices, even when I tried.

Despite their early blooming, this specie can grow well above 4 metres tall. They also form a unique root system, rather thickened and looking more like rhizomes. In some cases when most of the top end of the plant has wasted away, these thickened stems are still alive and will produce new shoots.
